Head coach Leah Blayney wants Australia to maintain their perfect record when they face Chinese Taipei in their final AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2024 Group A tie at the Do'stlik Stadium on Saturday.

Having secured wins against Korea Republic and hosts Uzbekistan, Australia only need a point to see them through to the semi-finals but Blayney wants her side to aim for perfection.
“We know they are a threat. They put two goals past Uzbekistan in their first game. There is a lot about them that we are aware of, but we also want to stick to how we want to play and approach the game,” said Blayney.

“We’re just going for the win without plans to decide who to play in the semi-final. The rest takes care of itself.”Chinese Taipei have a mathematical chance of advancing if they defeat Australia and Uzbekistan upset Korea Republic

Head coach Hsieh Chih-chun firmly believes in his players’ ability to rise to the occasion and deliver a match-winning performance.
