Will Bobo, Leandro Casapieri, Emiliano Del Duca, Be Martins, Cristian Mendez or Rodrigo go into the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024 Dubai™ having been crowned the best in their role in the world? We’ll find out three days before the tournament kicks off at the Beach Soccer Stars 2023 Gala.
The Museum of the Future, a landmark devoted to innovative and futuristic ideologies, will host the event. Beach Soccer Worldwide will stream it live on Beachsoccertv.com.
The biggest talking point is whether Be, Noel Ott or Rodrigo will win the Best Men’s Player prize. Be won the prize for the first time in 2022. Noel Ott finished as runner-up, while the Swiss great also came third in 2014. Rodrigo bagged bronze in the 2019 running behind Gariele Gori and winner Jordan.
“I’m really happy and honoured to be among the best three players in the world once again,” Be told FIFA. “I believe it’s a positive reflection on my entire career.”
“It’s a wonderful sensation,” Rodrigo enthused. “I’m really happy to once again be among the final nominees for the Best Player award. It’s really gratifying to be able to represent Brazil in this battle. When you think of the thousands of great players there are, this privilege is really pleasing.”
Ott will not be at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup after Switzerland failed to qualify for the first time since Tahiti 2013. Curiously, Ott, Be and Rodrigo won the BSWW’s Rising Star award in consecutive years in 2014, ’۱۵ and ’16.
Another Swiss, Eliott Mounoud, is in the running for the Best Goalkeeper award he won in 2022. Bobo and Leandro Casapieri, who will represent Brazil and Italy respectively at UAE 2024 Dubai, are the other finalists.
Italy’s Emiliano Del Duca and Christian Mendez of Spain are competing for the Best Coach gong. Llorenc Gomez, whose Denmark side missed out on qualification for the global finals, is the third finalist. Llorenc was named Best Player in 2018.
۲۰۲۳ marks the fifth straight year that a Spaniard has been named a Best Coach finalist. Mendez and Llorenc will be hoping to become the first to win it.
Adriele, Adriana Manau and Andrea Miron are the Best Women’s Player finalists. Adriele triumphed in 2022, while Manau has finished runner-up on back-to-back occasions.
The Best Women’s Goalkeeper will be handed out for the first time. Be Ribeiro, Laura Gallego and Anastasiia Terekh are its contenders.
Ten breathtaking gems are finalists for the Best Goal. Two of them are courtesy of Adriele, who faces competition from the likes of Catarino, Be and Chiky, who won the award for a glorious chip in 2022.
