Sailors edged closer to the Singapore Premier League title, an 8-0 win over Young Lions on Sunday keeping them seven points ahead of Tampines Rovers with 11 matches remaining.<\/p>\n
They will also draw confidence from their quarter-final win against Sanfrecce Hiroshima with the Japanese side producing an immense effort to turn the tie in their favour after the first leg was awarded 3-0 in favour of Sailors.<\/p>\n
Sanfrecce, who won the first leg 6-1 but were defaulted the result for fielding an ineligible player, dominated the return fixture but could only walk away with a 1-1 draw.<\/p>\n
A draw on Wednesday, however, will not suffice for Sailors with Sydney an extremely potent outfit at home.<\/p>\n
The Australian side will not hold back either and will draw inspiration from their 2-0 away win against Korea Republic’s Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in the first leg of their quarter-final.<\/p>\n
